Syngenta is accepting entries for its #RootedinAg contest through June 30.

Growers and agriculture industry professionals can describe how their agricultural roots help them, their family and community thrive, for the opportunity to win numerous prizes. In addition to a written entry, individuals must also upload a photograph or video that visually supports their response.

A panel of judges will pick five finalists whose entries will be posted online. The public will be able to vote for their favorite through Sept. 15, with the votes and judges scores being combined to determine a grand prize winner the following month.

The five finalists will each be given a mini touch-screen tablet, while the grand prize winner will be presented with a $500 gift card. Syngenta will also make a $1,000 donation in the winner's name to a local charity or civic organization.

"At Syngenta, we share a proud history with the men and women who help make U.S. agriculture the leader in feeding, fueling and clothing the world," Syngenta Communications Manager Wendell Calhoun said. "Our contest gives us a chance to reward and recognize a few of those individuals."
