The National Corn Growers Association’s (NCGA) Agri-Industry Council's (AIC) semiannual two-day meeting took place this month in Washington, featuring speakers, updates on NCGA programs, and discussion opportunities.

“The discussion in AIC meetings helps NCGA fulfill its mission of creating and maintaining opportunities for corn growers,” NCGA Chairman Martin Barbre said. “Only through sharing NCGA’s position throughout the industry will we make our voices loud enough to reach the best possible outcomes for growers as we face an ever-changing political landscape.”

Participants were able to discuss the potential impacts of political situations on agriculture after listening to Ann Compton, former ABC News White House correspondent, speak on the 2016 presidential campaign.

NCGA’s AIC works to ensure agriculture industry stakeholders exchange information on key issues and work together to ensure fair and equitable policies for growth. The next AIC meeting will be in August.
