BASF’s Headline AMP fungicide continues to be the top fungicide among no-till farmers, winning the Product of the Year award for fungicides at the 24th annual National No-Tillage Conference for the 10th consecutive year.

BASF’s Sharpen herbicide also took first place for herbicides for the third consecutive year.

“Headline AMP fungicide continues to be the fungicide market leader for corn growers, delivering more bushels per acre than any other product on the market,” BASF Technical Marketing Manager Dr. Caren Schmidt said. “Headline AMP fungicide has set the industry standard for disease control and plant health in corn crops.”

Readers of the No-Till Farmer magazine vote for the awards, which are given during the conference every year. The fungicide and herbicide products of the year are two of 13 categories in which farmers vote.

“An effective burndown is important for fighting resistant weeds in no-till fields,” BASF Technical Market Manager Daniel Waldstein said. “Sharpen herbicide controls over 70 broadleaf weeds, including glyphosate-resistant weeds, and gives growers a clean start so they can stay clean throughout the season and increase yield potential.”

BASF also received a runner-up Product of the Year award.
