Syngenta takes steps to ensure bulk deliveries meet consumer needs

Syngenta is reviewing its delivery system in preparation for the 2016 growing season, seeking new ways to get its products where they are going when they are needed.

One advantage Syngenta has is that many of its corn and soybean products are available in bulk.

“We analyze every step of the supply chain from Point A to Point Z with all our products, so that we will have the right amount of inventory on hand to meet growers’ needs,” Stephanie Neese, a national bulk equipment specialist, said.

Syngenta also knows that communication is key to its bulk sales throughout the supply chain. Growers and retailers are able to easily contact Syngenta sales representatives, distributors, key account managers and other specialists.

Knowing the most popular product sales and the weather forecasts helps Syngenta to know which products need to be available in what supply and when.

“We’re asking the ‘what-if’ questions now so we can work toward making sure our customers get their bulk deliveries when they are going full-speed ahead next year,” Neese said. “We’re always looking ahead to what’s next.”
