BASF registers Caramba fungicide in eastern Canada

BASF announced today that it has registered the Caramba fungicide in eastern Canada for this year’s growing season.

Caramba is applied on corn crops between full-silk emergence and full-silk browning, to suppress Fusarium and Gibberella ear rot.

BASF Canada Fungicides and Insecticides Brand Manager Piero Castro said the active ingredient in Caramba, metconazole, has been proven to provide excellent results in reducing deoxynivalenol levels as well as increasing grain yield and quality.
