The Professional Convention Management Association Education Conference spotlighted the National Corn Growers Association's Commodity Classic during the last week of June.

The conference attendees consist of convention managers and meeting professionals from across the U.S.

Dave Buchholz and Peggy Findley, staffers at the Commodity Classic, were invited to take the stage to discuss the Commodity Classic’s evolution and experience and how it can help others improve all aspects of a trade show or convention. The Commodity Classic is considered an industry-leading trade show from which other trade shows and conventions can learn and grow. Topics included adoption of a strategic plan for long-term growth, proactive engagement of various audiences, and changes and evolutions in messaging and marketing.

Buchholz and Findley highlighted the importance of marketing and brand experience with statistics from the Commodity Classic including numbers on total attendance, first-time attendees, grower attendance, exhibitor numbers and media accounts.
