The American Soybean Association’s World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (ASA/WISHH) made a trip to Accra, Ghana in April to promote U.S. Department of Agriculture projects.

USDA funded Food for Progress initiatives with an aim to develop the Ghanaian poultry and feed sectors and met with WISHH Director of the Africa Division Erica Morrow, local government agencies and other project partners.

The purpose of the projects and the trip was to monetize U.S. soybean meal and soybean oil over the next five years. ASA’s purpose will be to provide technical assistance to Ghana’s agricultural industry to increase efficiency and economic return in the poultry value chain.
