The alliance's original goal was to discover natural product-inspired solutions and bring them to the agricultural market. Now, the two companies will use their specialties to create new products from naturally derived chemistries.

Radiant Genomics is offering its proprietary metagenomic and engineering-biology technologies while Dow AgroSciences will provide its natural products discovery and product development capabilities.

“Expanding our collaboration with Radiant Genomics is an important next step in leveraging the power of our collective expertise in natural products,” Daniel Kittle, vice president of research and development at Dow AgroSciences, said.”I’m confident our work will translate into new sustainable solutions to address the expanding need for food production across the planet.”

The expanded collaboration allows Radiant Genomics to expand their platform technologies across Dow AgroSciences’ research organization.

“We are excited to build on the success we have achieved thus far in our current collaboration with Dow AgroSciences and are looking forward to expanding the application of Radiant Genomics’ technology platform across Dow AgroSciences’ crop protection and seeds research organizations,” Radiant Genomics' Chief Scientific Officer Jeffrey Kim. “We see the expansion of this collaboration as a strong validation of our technology, team and approach.”
