The White Mountain Biodiesel LLC plant in North Haverhill, New Hampshire is undergoing expansion including a 10,000-square-foot addition and 1.186 million gallons of tanks for processing and storage, allowing them to produce over 16 million gallons of biodiesel per year.

The construction, which is expected to last two years, is being led by Presby Construction and will also include improvements using White Mountain’s own technologies that have been in development for nine years. Part of the improvements will be for Caterpillar generators capable of running on B100.

White Mountain is also planning to buy a fleet of tankers and pedal trucks so they will have the freedom to sell blends as high as B99.9 to retail customers in New England. The trucks will be pre-2007 models without DPF or DEF systems, which will allow for them to be run on high blends of biodiesel as they traverse around New England picking up used cooking oil and delivering glycerine and other waste products to digester facilities.

In addition to their improvements, White Mountain is working with New Hampshire government to place biodiesel on the State’s Renewable Fuels Portfolio and receive BQ-9000 designation.
