Participants at the United Fresh 2016 Opening Breakfast General Session will have the opportunity to hear a keynote address from Craig Boyan, the president and chief operations officer of H-E-B grocery stores.

H-E-B has 340 locations in the Southwestern United States and Mexico.

“We are looking forward to hearing Craig’s insights about the challenges and opportunities facing today's supermarkets and the role that fresh produce plays in serving today’s consumers,” United Fresh President and CEO Tom Stenzel said. “As we look to the future of food retailing, our produce members know that retailers serve as key holders to the consumer experience. There’s always more to be learned and shared, and Craig’s perspectives will be incredibly valuable to our industry.”

United Fresh Group Vice President Hugh Topper and Roger Harkrider, H-E-B's director of produce, have worked as past members of the United Fresh Board of Directors, establishing a long-running relationship between United Fresh and H-E-B.

“We appreciate the incredible support of the H-E-B leadership team and all they are doing for our industry,” Stenzel said.

The Opening Breakfast General Session will be June 21 at the United Fresh 2016 All Access or Convention Packages for the United Fresh 2016 convention in Chicago.
