During the 13th International Marketing Conference and 56th Annual Membership Meeting, members of the U.S. Grain Council (USGC) met to discuss marketing strategies for 2016 and 2017.

The USGC Advisory Teams also discussed how to make global grain trade more productive.

“As a member-led organization, our delegates provide critical guidance to USGC leadership and staff who carry out our programs around the world,” USGC Chairman Alan Tiemann said. “Meeting together each year is critical to helping us identify new opportunities and priorities in a rapidly changing environment, which we then translate into the council’s operational plans for the coming year.”

Attendees at the conference heard speakers present on topics such as the upcoming presidential election, trade policy status updates, and the world grain market as seen by MAIZALL, the international maize alliance, and Argentinian partners to the USGC.

Business meetings between the USGC Board of Delegates and the Board of Directors concluded the conference.
