Rebeckah Adcock, senior director of government relations at CropLife America (CLA) was awarded the 2016 National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) Service to Agriculture Award at the President’s Luncheon and Awards Ceremony during the NAICC Annual Meeting and Ag Pro Expo.

“From her time in the public sector to her work at CLA and the Pesticide Policy Coalition (PPC), Rebeckah has proven over and over her dedication to the American farmer and the ag industry,” Allison Jones, executive vice president of NAICC, said. “NAICC sincerely appreciates Rebeckah’s willingness to meet with our executive board and our governmental affairs committee members each year in Washington, D.C. We are honored to work with her on the PPC and are thankful for her leadership and insight into the complex issues we face.”

The award is presented to a person who has greatly contributed and dedicated themselves to serving the agricultural community and its independent practitioners. Adcock also spoke at the expo to update participants on government affairs on topics like worker protection and applicator certification. She reminded the NAICC members in attendance that working with CLA and their resources would prove to be invaluable.

“Crop consultants are an instrumental part of the farming process,” Adcock said. “Your expertise in many areas, including pest management, guides the growth of our nation’s food, and CLA members are grateful for your devotion to making sure that farmers know about the best pesticide technology available. CLA will continue to work to make sure that you and the growers you serve have a broad array of crop protection product options to use to precisely deal with specific threats."

Adcock told those in attendance that their voices are vital in the conversation on farming in the U.S., and that among CLA's support services is providing information on the importance of pest management to crop growth.

"Together, through constant dialogue and coordination among those working on the ground in agriculture and in government and industry, we can defeat crop threats and advance pest control methods,” she said.
