Farm Business Network (FBN) Inputs will now be able to provide lower input prices to FBN members thanks to the procurement service announced at the beginning of January.

FBN Procurement Services will start with agricultural chemicals.

“Farmers are facing poor commodity prices without significant relief on crop input costs,” Chief Operating Officer Larry Trebesch said. “The savings from going direct can be enormous. We’ve been able to find farmers 15 to 40 percent savings on popular agricultural chemicals. The program helped one member save over $40,000 on chemicals alone and we’ve already delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars in savings and managed millions in transactions.

"FBN Procurement was created in response to requests from our members to provide total price transparency, and an independent, unbiased evaluation of crop inputs performance — allowing cost savings to be passed along to farmers.”

FBN Procurement features transparent pricing, standard prices for all members, and a best-price guarantee that includes a rebate if the price drops between purchase and delivery. The procurement hopes that by offering the choice between direct delivery and self pick-up, it will save members time and hassle.

The analytics of FBN price and input product performance are based on FBN’s up-to-date data and large network of American farms.
