Foundation's review shows NutriSphere-N increases yields

NutriSphere-N Nitrogen Fertilizer Manager using center-pivot irrigation systems has produced measurable yield increase of more than 10 bushels per acre on irrigated corn.

“The use of NutriSphere-N helped keep more applied nitrogen available for plant uptake, regardless of field and moisture conditions," Irrigation Research Foundation Executive Director Charles Corey said. "Untreated corn suffered considerably more under varying conditions -- such as excessive rainfall, low water application, both hot and cool temperatures and other environmental stresses -- throughout the three years of research trials.”

The Verdesian Life Sciences’ NutriSphere-N uses patented polymer technology to allow the plant to keep more nitrogen for plant uptake by slowing the conversion of nitrogen into forms which can be lost. One application with applied nitrogen can last from 10 to 12 months.

The Irrigation Research Foundation was founded in 1994 as a private, nonprofit, independent research and demonstration farm in Colorado. The IRF works to promote proper water use and as a place for research on crop production methods, products and technologies.

Verdesian Life Sciences offers patented biological, nutritional, seed treatment and inoculant technologies for high-value specialty crops, row crops, and turf and ornamental markets.
