People in the agricultural industry are worried about the 2016 growing season, with concerns including the market and crop choices.
In the agricultural world, there are rarely growing seasons where farmers and growers don’t worry about the choices they’ve made with crops or worry about how well their crops will do at market.
The agricultural community is not alone as a business that goes through hard times and times of uncertainty.
“The challenges are never the same from one year to the next, but the solution to these questions usually comes down to keeping our minds clear and facing the day-to-day issues with an open mind, confidence in our abilities, the help of trusted friends, and above all God,”
Ernie Flint, from the Mississippi State University Extension Service, said.
Flint's main concern is how farmers and growers will continue to profit from producing food and fiber for people around the world who depend upon these farmers to be productive in order to survive. It is Flint’s belief that commodity prices will force farmers to be more efficient in how they conduct business in order to feed the world.
It will not just be farmers who take the hit. Since commodity prices have gone down, everyone in the agricultural industry from farmers to landowners to those who buy the food will see a significant change in the 2016 season.
