Environmental Science, a division of Bayer CropScience LP, will increase its North American turf and ornamentals business starting Nov. 1, 2016.
The company plans to serve professional growers all over the United States that operate greenhouses, nurseries and garden centers. To this end, Bayer will sell products and active ingredients that were previously marketed by OHP Inc., which markets products to the American nursery and greenhouse market, in addition to other Bayer chemistries.
“OHP has been a highly valued partner of Bayer for the past 26 years,” Gilles Galliou, president of Bayer Environmental Science North America, said. “Moving ahead, Bayer looks forward to an exciting opportunity to be more directly engaged with the high-quality businesses in this vibrant industry and to get even closer to our customers.”
Bayer has been involved with the ornamentals markets for many years. Despite the change in the relationship between the two companies, Bayer and OHP will continue working together to meet the needs of customers.
