Pinnacle Agriculture Holdings, LLC said Monday it has purchased eight seed businesses in the heartland region.
The business acquired by Pinnacle are ProSelect, Inc. in Kearney, Seed Services of Nebraska, Inc. in Minden and AVN Seeds Partners, LLC in Minden, all in Nebrasca; AgVenture/GroMor, LLC in Ames and Profiseed, LLC, Hampton, both in Iowa; Scherr's Seed LLC in Roscoe, South Dakota; Corn Capital Genetics, Inc. in Olivia, Minnesota; and Teays Valley Farms, LLC, dba Pureline, in Princeton, Illinois.
The newly acquired businesses will be part of the AgVenture, Inc. (AVI) network of seed companies operating as AgVenture Pinnacle, making it easy for current customers to continue to have seamless access to AgVenture and VPMaxx brand seed products.
AgVenture Maximum Profit System will be advanced, to help customers increase yields, lower cost per bushel and improve overall profitability. Expanded products and services, including crop protection chemicals and fertilizers, will be offered to customers as part of the expanded businesses.
“These companies are premier providers of AgVenture’s top quality seed products and professional season-long support that together help customers increase yields, lower cost per bushel, and improve profitability,"
AgVenture Pinnacle Regional Business Director Dave Treinen said. "Pinnacle’s long history in the production and sale of quality seed was a natural fit. Along with the full line of farm input products that Pinnacle brings to complement and enhance its seed offering, we expect to help growers further advance their goals.”
Pinnacle plans to continue operations in the same locations as the companies they have acquired.
“This is an exciting move for our AgVenture and VPMaxx brands,” AVI Business Development Director Chuck Schneider said. “Our brand value will continue to grow under this new approach. Customers will continue to work with the local professionals they know and trust. With Pinnacle, customers will also have access to crop protection, fertility/nutrient management and precision agricultural products and services. Together with AgVenture’s specifically selected and locally adapted seed products, and year-round professional seed expertise, we can support our customers’ cropping plans, yielding greater profitability throughout the region.”
