Verdesian Life Sciences expands leadership team

Verdesian Life Sciences named Jake Underwood as executive vice president of nutritionals and John Sam Wilson as vice president of technology development on Sept. 30.

Underwood’s experience with sales, marketing and management will help provide strategic direction for the Verdesian nutritionals and micronutrients divisions. He worked at J.R. Simplot Co., Agrium, United Agri Products, Loveland Products, Inc. and Crop Production Services before joining Verdesian.

Wilson brings over 30 years of technology development experience having worked at FMC, Zeneca AG Products, United Agri Products and Monsanto before coming to Verdesian. He will work with Verdesian CEO J.J. Grow to expand Verdesian’s products.

“Global agriculture provides a unique challenge because there are so many variables,” Grow said. “Jake’s and Sam’s perspectives on products and technologies in the industry will add a lot of value to our team as we look to make the Verdesian portfolio to be all-inclusive for farmers seeking healthier, more robust crops and a greater return on investment.”

Verdesian Life Sciences is dedicated to helping farmers more efficiently plant their crops in order to produce the best yield. As technology becomes more and more a part of a farmer’s life, Verdesian recognizes that it must continue to grow and develop ways to keep up with the continuing advancements for farmers.

The addition of Underwood and Wilson will help Verdesian to accomplish their goal of being a leader in helping to bring new technology to farmers.
