Sygenta Community Grant Program will grant up to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations with projects that either promote agricultural and science education or help relieve hunger.

The program was created in 2002 to support charitable organizations, schools and government agencies. The grants are available in the North Carolina Piedmont Triad, Minnetonka and Minnesota.

Through the program, Syngenta focuses its corporate giving on local initiatives that support important community needs, including: agriculture and Science Technology Engineering and Math, education, hunger relief, water and land conservation. The program empowers Syngenta employees to select and distribute funds to local nonprofit organizations.

Applications for the Syngenta Community Grant Program 2016 are being accepted through Oct. 9. Applications are reviewed by a Syngenta employee team, which selects recipients based on innovative approaches and solutions, long-term impact and the most efficient use of funds.
