Valley Irrigation recently expanded its Bender product line with the introduction of a new anchor package that extends the reach of its irrigation machines in order to get the highest possible yield from all farm land.

The company's Bender products allow a center pivot to bend and wrap around in-field obstacles in order to allow for irrigation behind them. The new anchor package allows Benders to be used on longer machines, up 2,000 feet after the Bender, as well as on rough or rolling terrain.

"Our studies found that growers can increase their profits by at least $300 per acre in Nebraska, just by irrigating more of the land they already have" Valley Irrigation Vice President of Global Marketing Matt Ondrejko said.  “The new Bender Anchor extends those irrigated acres at a low per-acre cost, improving yield and profit."

The new anchor product keeps the front tire positioned on a hard surface to prevent sliding during bending and anchors the back tire close to the ground. Once installed, the unit can operate without human intervention.
