Control Solutions names new Quali-Pro rep for Northeastern market

Control Solutions said on Thursday that it has hired Paul Blodorn to represent the company's Quali-Pro line of turf-maintenance products in the Northeastern market.

Blodorn will be working with distribution representatives in this area to market the brand to golf, lawn care, nursery and greenhouse market segments.

Blodorn began his golf maintenance career at age 16, working for the newly opened Atlantic Golf Club, located on the east end of Long Island. After receiving a bachelor's degree in plant and soils science, he was offered the head superintendent position at the newly constructed East Hampton Golf Club and spent the next 15 years managing, maintaining and improving this Coore & Crenshaw masterpiece, eventually helping it make Golf Digest's Top 30 Courses in New York State. During this time, Blodorn also received certification status from the GCSAA.

Along with his extensive golf course background, Blodorn also brings with him a great deal of experience in the landscape-maintenance field. Blodorn founded, operated and grew a successful full-service landscape business in the Hamptons for seven years. His involvement in this field allows him to better understand the unique needs and concerns of the lawn-application industry.
