Jessica Johnson Bennett recently joined the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) as its director of market development.

Bennett previously worked with the NCGA between 2009 and 2011 as the director of public policy. She has vast experience as well as background to bring to her new position.

Her new position will place Bennett in charge of managing and creating the company’s market development programs. Her goal is to emphasize the company’s expanding domestic ethanol markets for corn. In addition, she will be the lead staff member for the company’s Ethanol Committee.

Bennett has previously worked on the Oilseed, Processing, Oils and Biofuels business units at Bunge North America. In the past, she has also worked at the American Farm Bureau Federation and Booz Allen Hamilton. She has also been part of the congressional offices of two Arkansas members of Congress.

“Jessica is an incredibly valuable addition to our team, and we are excited to utilize her deep understanding and insight as we increase our focus on building demand,” Chris Novak, NCGA CEO, said. “She has a grasp on the issues facing corn growers as well as perspective from other parts of the value chain that will serve her well as she works to build demand.”
