GroGenesis to attend climate-smart agriculture event in Brazil in 2016

GroGenesis, Inc., rights holders, developers and manufacturers of agricultural enhancement products marketed under the trade names AgraBurst and AgraBlast, announced Monday it will be participating in a major initiative focused on the future of agriculture in Brazil.

The event, "Climate-Smart Agriculture Achieving Sustainable Intensification," is scheduled to be held March 1-2, 2016, at Fenix Eventos inBrasilia, Brazil.

The event, organized by the Challenge Advisory with the support of the Brazilian Organization for Agricultural Research (Embrapa) and the Ministry of Agrarian Development, will explore the use of climate-smart agriculture.

There is a significant need to improve the way agricultural systems and natural resources are managed to achieve sustainable economic growth in Brazil. The event targets an audience including global and domestic non-governmental organizations, corporations, legal interests, farmers, financial concerns, United Nations representatives, government ministries, distributors, professional services and domestic operators.

Brazil has the greatest farmland capacity in the world - with, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) projecting the total potential arable land within the vast tropical savanna region known as the Cerrado at over 494.2 million acres.

Yet only approximately 20.2 million acres is in current use. Areas such as Bahia, Goias, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Tocatins, Maranha and Minas Gerais have the potential to serve Brazil's economy and help with the food security of an additional 3 billion people.

"I am delighted to welcome the team at GroGenesis to our event," Challenge Advisory Managing Partner Karveh Cavalieri said. "There is great interest in biostimulants and crop protection products, especially qualified eco-friendly offerings. Sustainable solutions are the nexus of agricultural innovation and we look forward to providing GroGenesis an opportunity to build what we trust will be many long-term and fruitful associations in this increasingly important sector."

Challenge Advisory, headquartered in London, advises governments and other groups on the challenges and opportunities associated with having 10 billion people on the planet by 2050.

"We look forward to fully understanding the challenges in Brazil so that we can best position our product marketing in the region," GroGenesis CEO and President Joe Fewer said. "We aim to accelerate talks with potential regional distributors and really look forward to meeting what is sure to be a wealth of stakeholders in the sector. This highly credible and very significant event could be a game-changer for our efforts in Latin America."

GroGenesis aims to become a leading producer of natural plant growth health technologies. Its AgraBurst is a biostimulant blended from processed extracts of natural plant materials that improves the positive effects of commercial fertilizers and available nutrients.
