Salford Group, a worldwide agriculture equipment manufacturer, recently expanded its fertilizer application line by launching multiple new products, including its recently acquired BBI Spreaders and Valmar Airflo, the biggest pull-type pneumatic boom applicator currently available on the market.

Two Salford BBI spreaders, known as the MagnaSpread Ultra and Javelin, are new additions to the Canadian market. These two pieces of equipment were previously available only in the American market via farm equipment dealers. Now the Salford network has provided better distribution, which allows it to deliver equipment to Canadian customers.

Both of these spreaders use features from the Producer Series, including optimized large-acreage operations, which are key to the western Canadian market.

The Salford Valmar 8600 is the only pull-type pneumatic boom fertilizer applicator available on the market. The 8600 version is the biggest model, providing farmers with improved versatility with its 54, 57, 60 and 66-foot boom widths, optional metering and tire type packages and standard half-machine shut off.

Salford Valmar applicators are known for sustaining accuracy across the boom’s entire width. This makes an evenly spread pattern, no matter the windy conditions. Farmers can choose from several fan options, such as a hydraulically driven 17 inch fan at 4700 rpm or a 1000 rpm PTO driven fan.
