Monsanto ranks among best workplaces in Europe

Monsanto Company's European operations were recently ranked 24th on the 2015 list of the Great Place to Work Institute’s Best Workplaces in Europe.

“This prestigious award reaffirms what we already know here at Monsanto Europe,” Leticia Gonçalves, president of Monsanto Europe and Mideast, said. “Our 3,800 employees take pride in the hard work they do every day to help develop and market efficient, innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions to help nourish our growing world. It is an honor for Monsanto to be celebrated by its employees and independent experts as an organization that fosters creativity, trust, pride and camaraderie.”

Rankings were determined using national surveys, in which more than 2,300 companies in 19 European countries participated. Rankings were determined by combining employees’ responses to a survey about job satisfaction with human resources management’s responses about company culture and employment policies.

The final list included 100 businesses. This was Monsanto's first time to be included in the Best Workplaces in Europe list. Monsanto previously recognized as an exemplary workplace in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Belgium and The Netherlands.

“We have a strong company culture that is focused on empowering employees to own their own career development, delivering transformational solutions to our customers and engaging in the communities where we work and live,”  Ibrahim El Menschawi, vice president of Monsanto’s Vegetables division in Europe, Africa and the Mideast, said.
