Verde Potash gives update on premium agri-fertilizer

Brazil-based Verde Potash this week released an update on the company's market development for TK47 (previously known as ThermoPotash), a premium agri-tech fertilizer product.

TK47 is for plant nutrition and protection as well as water-use efficiency, soil improvement and increased sustainability. It is currently used on sugarcane, coffee, potatoes, soybeans, oranges, eucalyptus, tomatoes, tobacco, garlic and carrots.

In the course of TK47's development, Verde has established 24 partnerships with some of the world's leading food producers. Product development of TK47 began in 2009, when the product was known only as a source of potash. Its other benefits became apparent as it was used on a variety of crops. It has also been used by farmers as part of their nutrient management systems.

Market development began in 2011; the initiative was intensified in 2014.

TK47 offers:
- A high concentration of nutrients in a single homogenous grain
- Nutrients in sync with the needs of individual plants
- No chlorine or salinity
- Over 40 minerals
- Activation of plants' defense mechanisms
- Natural plant resistance against diseases and pests
- Reduction in water loss
- Increase in soil's water and nutrient retention capacity
- Increase in the availability of phosphate in the soil
- Increased soil pH

"It has become clear that selling TK47 only for its potash component is like selling an iPhone only for its calling capacity; both deliver much more to the customer," Verde Potash CEO and President Cristiano Veloso said. "Our intent for the past 16 months has been to promote this awareness across Brazil's market."
