Bayer CropScience and education partner team to put plant-science course online

Bayer CropScience announced today it is partnering with a leading education company to expand a plant-science education program by putting it online.

Bayer CropScience and CEV Multimedia, a producer of Career and Technical Education curriculum, will work together to put the Plant Science Certification online. The education program covers major topics in the plant-science industry and is aimed at students at the primary, secondary and post-secondary levels interested in natural sciences.

"There are very few opportunities for students today to achieve a plant-science certification aligned with secondary education," CEV Multimedia President Jeff Lansdell said. "Bayer CropScience is the perfect match for this certification as both companies look to enhance and expand education for future generations of plant scientists."

Bayer’s Head of Breeding and Trait Development Mike Gilbert said students well-versed in all plant-science areas are needed for continued agricultural leadership. "This certification program will provide students with essential tools to equip them to be the next great leaders in plant science," Gilbert said.
