Bayer CropScience's stand for Cereals 2015, which was unveiled Monday, will bring growers together with company experts on four different crop types.
Cereals 2015 is scheduled for June 10 to 11 in the United Kingdom. The company’s redesigned stand will be divided among plots of wheat, barley, oilseed rape and root crops, each featuring a Bayer CropScience expert that growers can question about the best ways to increase yields and improve quality.
For example, the wheat section will show growers how to manage black-grass and other diseases without chemicals.
“Delayed drilling might be one option growers are considering, for example,” Bayer CropScience PR and Communications Manager Mike Abram said. “It can certainly help with both black-grass control and decreasing disease pressure, but has other implications for growers to consider. Our team in the wheat plots will be on hand to chat through the benefits and disadvantages, as well as how to integrate our products into this or other strategies.”
Bayer CropScience tools and services that will be demonstrated at the stand include the company’s new agronomy mobile app, the Bayer Pollen Beetle Predictor and new wheat and barley disease warning tools.
