Syngenta expands farm productivity software to four midwestern states

Syngenta announced expansion of its farm productivity software program to growers in Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota on Tuesday.

The company’s AgriEdge Excelsior technology has served farmers in the southern and western United States for 10 years, and Syngenta is now taking it nationwide. The program provides a total-farm management system, including record-keeping software and personalized on-farm support.

“As modern agriculture evolves, new challenges arise for growers to navigate,” Syngenta’s National AgriEdge Manager Steve Gomme said. “From the questions of ‘big data’ technology to the changing demands of the value chain, growers need flexible tools and value-added services to succeed in this new era. The solution: AgriEdge Excelsior.”

The technology, which began as a small regional project in the South, helps growers improve crop quality, yield and the long-term viability of their farms.

“Thanks to our committed growers, we are now available as a whole-farm management solution that operates in many parts of the U.S.,” AgriEdge Excelsior Manager Darren Fehr said.
