Syngenta offering 2 new products aimed at golf courses

Syngenta said Wednesday two new products will be made available this year that will allow for effective golf course maintenance.

The two products, Appear fungicide and Heritage Action fungicide, join Ference insecticide and Velista fungicide that were introduced last year, the company said. This product lineup provides a broad regimen to protect turf health, the company said. Appear is currently available while Heritage Action will be released later this summer.

“Appear was formulated to offer a deep green color, improved stress tolerance and turf safety in the heat of the summer,” Syngenta Senior Technical Representative Lane Tredway said. “Additionally, the pH-neutral formulation helps ensure that Appear mixes well with products such as Secure and Daconil Action brand fungicides, unlike other pigmented phosphates that may clog spray nozzles.”

Heritage Action offers a hybrid solution that includes two mechanisms that have proven to be effective separately in order to boost turf health against threats and diseases that are biotic or abiotic in nature.

"Golf course superintendents know all too well the challenges of maintaining turf quality to player expectations,” Syngenta Turf and Landscape Head of Marketing Tripp Trotter said. “With the launch of Appear fungicide and the upcoming release of Heritage Action, these products can help superintendents manage their turf so it responds better to heat, drought, disease and more, which will ultimately improve turf quality.”
