AGDATA acquisition gives company foothold in large Brazilian market

AGDATA announced March 20 its acquisition of PRG Brazil AG, giving the company a firm foothold in South America’s largest economy.

“Today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment to customers to continue enhancing our solutions across the global agriculture market,” AGDATA CEO Richard Bettison said. “Our partnership with PRG Brazil AG provides us with industry expertise and local talent, which will drive innovation and growth, enabling us to expand our industry-leading, data-driven analytics and transaction solutions to our valued Brazilian customers.”

Adding PRG Brazil AG enhances AGDATA’s position in data-enabled software solutions for the world’s largest agriculture markets. Brazil has an extensive agricultural market and is among the top three producers worldwide of soybeans, corn, sugar, beef and poultry. To manage operations in the region, AGDATA has added an office in Alphaville, São Paulo.

“Our clients are continually seeking to apply sophisticated analytics along the entire supply chain, and ADGATA’s solutions will provide insights that allow its customers to make better, faster and smarter decisions,” PRG Brazil AG principal Fernando Pierry said.
