Valent U.S.A. Corp. recently launched its "Relentless as You" contest to celebrate farmers and other food growers through National Ag Week, which ends on March 21.
To enter the contest, growers must submit a 100-word description of their dedication to farming and their community, along with a video or a photo. Applicants may nominate themselves or anyone close to them.
"We all know a grower who embodies the strength, determination and relentlessness it takes to deliver food and fiber to our communities, and this contest – and our new Relentless campaign -- recognizes these hard-working growers and spotlights their personal stories, sacrifices and achievements," Meg Brodman, Valent's senior manager of marketing communications, said. "(The contest) honors growers for their hard work by showcasing the personal stories of growers and celebrating the relentless spirit of the American farmer today."
Five entries will be chosen as national prize winners, who each will have a $1,000 grant given to their choice of a local charity in their name.
Entries can be submitted to the "Relentless as You" contest website, relentlessasyou.com/contest, through March 21.
