Syngenta’s Golden Harvest Corn hybrids recently outstripped the national comparisons in a competition in Minnesota.
The hybrids were Agrisure Duracade, Agrisure Artesian and Agrisure Viptera.
Golden Harvest hybrids yielded an average of 1.5 bushels or more per acre compared to DeKalb and Pioneer2 hybrids. These figures were found from 11,159 different comparisons.
“We always
recommend growers draw from multi-year data to select the right hybrids,
as this will best predict performance,” Tim O’Brien, Ph.D., Golden
Harvest Corn product manager at Syngenta, said. “Year after year now,
we’ve seen Golden Harvest hybrids consistently perform at or above the
competition, so growers should again have a lot to look forward to in
2015.”
Even though U.S. growers produced a record amount of corn harvest, farmers who used Gold Harvest hybrids had even more yields than their competition.
“This
competitive 2014 performance once again demonstrates the consistency,
reliability and high yields of Golden Harvest Corn hybrids,” Eric
Boersma, manager of corn seed product marketing at Syngenta, said. “We
are committed to helping farmers grow more corn through industry-leading
innovation, and these results show that the breakout genetics and
breakthrough traits and technologies in Golden Harvest hybrids truly
translate to more bushels in the bin.”
Researchers at Syngenta used YES Yield Engineering System technology to accelerate the vegetables’ yield gain and improve their breeding cycle.
In 2013, Syngenta corn hybrids also yielded more than the competition.
