Bayer CropScience United States participated in the 20th annual Commodity Classic in Phoenix, Arizona, last month.
The convention, which drew 8,000 attendees, was a chance to learn about the newest solutions and technologies for agricultural problems.
Bayer CropScience had a bee health booth set up where younger children were mesmerized as black and yellow balloons were transformed into bracelets, bow-ties, hats and other accessories, as adults discussed the steps needed to repopulate and improve bee health
In Bayer's main booth, visitors received a donation card for Feeding America, which accepts food donations across the country. The mission of the project is to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger.
After filling out the donation cards, visitors placed them on a map designating their preferred nation.
Bayer CropScience then donated $10,000 to Feeding America in honor of everyone who placed their name on the map.
Next year's Commodity Classic will be held March 3 through 5 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
