Grains Council to talk trade policy, ethanol market at National Association of Farm Broadcasting convention

The U.S. Grains Council (USGC) said it will be participating in the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Trade Talk interview fair Nov. 10 in Kansas City next week to discuss such issues as trade policy and the ethanol market.

Trade Talk is the centerpiece event of the NAFB National Convention running Nov. 9-11 that connects the agricultural industry with ag-focused media. More than 100 broadcasters will be present during the event.

During the event, broadcasters will discuss issues and topics that concern leaders in the ag industry. At previous events, more than 2,500 interviews were conducted with an airtime value of $585,066.

USGC Chairman Chip Councell and USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight will appear at the event. Among the top trade issues they will discuss are trade barriers and foreign policies, developing new export markets and plans to promote U.S. ethanol to the global marketplace.

More than 100 booths for the 2016 Trade Talk event have been reserved by ag industry alliances, associations and federations as well as individual businesses that cater to farmers and the agricultural industry. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 has also reserved a booth.
