Monsanto’s Board of Directors received a revised, nonbinding proposal from Bayer AG regarding the possible acquisition of Monsanto in mid-July.
The board will now review the proposal with its financial and legal teams. Monsanto is relying on the expertise of Morgan Stanley & Co. and Ducera Partners as financial advisers and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz as legal advisers.
There will be no other statement from Monsanto concerning the possible acquisition until a final decision is made.
