The Channel Field Check Up Series is committed to helping farmers get the best yield possible at the end of the 2016 growing season.

Channel, a division of Monsanto, offers the program in which Channel Seedsmen visit customer growers in a series of on-farm visits for consultation and field evaluations four times during the growing season – seedling, reproductive, vegetative and maturity stages.

The checkup focuses on field history and insect issues during the seedling stage; weed and root evaluation during the vegetative stage; pollination and insect damage during the reproductive stage; and evaluate harvest compared to goals in the maturity stage. At the end of the season, Seedsmen develop a personalized report for growers to determine the best improvements needed for the next growing season.

“Growers have many variables to consider when making a seed purchase, and Channel believes that to get the most out of every acre, they need a partner who knows and understands their unique field challenges,” Channel Brand Manager Brock Helgerson  said. “Channel Seedsmen use the Field Check Up Series to observe and evaluate growers’ farms throughout the entire season. They are right there, every step of the way, guiding through challenges and making recommendations for each grower’s operation.”

The service is free to Channel grower customers; non-Channel growers can request a Field Check Up Series evaluation.
