Scotts Miracle-Gro recently announced a minority economic investment in Bonnie Plants Inc.

Both companies stand to benefit from the change, as Scotts is the leading marketer for lawn and garden products, and Bonnie is the largest grower of vegetable and herb plants nationwide.

Scotts will provide aid through research and development services and marketing for Bonnie's edible gardening initiatives This is in response to the increase in garden-to-table trends of consumers, as they desire to live more holistic and sustainable lives.

Scotts' decision to invest in Bonnie is pat of a strategy in which it will look into the demands of the lawn and garden industries in North America.
