Four products in the Rancona Fungicide family of products have been issued Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Section 2(ee) Recommendations by Arysta LifeScience North America.

The FIFRA recommendations cover distribution and use in Idaho, Illinois, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

The recommendations were for Rancona 3.8 Seed Treatment Fungicide, used on beans and peas; Rancona CTS Seed Protectant and Rancona Summitt Seed Protectant, used on dried shelled/succulent/edible podded beans and peas; and Rancona V 100 Pro FS Seed Protectant, used on dried shelled beans. All can be used as seed treatment to control Ascochyta seedling blight.

Previously, there were no such products in these key pea-growing states.

"Growers ... will welcome the 2(ee) recommendations of these four Rancona seed treatments," Chris Wooley, Arysta LifeScience marketing manager for the U.S., said. "Rancona products have both contact and systemic activity to help control yield-robbing diseases like Ascochyta."
