Syngenta has new fungicides for ornamental market

The ornamental market will get two more fungicides from Syngenta for the early 2016 growing season.

The two fungicides will contain two new active ingredients recently approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) -- Solatenol and oxathiapiprolin.

Solatenol is an advanced generation succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) for broad spectrum control from foliar diseases and soil-borne pathogens. It will be available under the name Mural fungicide.

Oxathiapiprolin, a rotation partner, provides control of downy mildew and Phytophithora spp diseases. It will be available as Segovis fungicide.

“Adding Solatenol and oxathiapiprolin to the Syngenta Plant Protection portfolio gives greenhouse and nursery growers more innovative, effective and economical solutions for the disease challenges they face,” Howard Jaekle, Syngenta's fungicide brand manager, said.
