Bee Vectoring Technology appoints marketing adviser

Ashish Malik has been announced as an independent contractor for Bee Vectoring Technology (BVT).

Malik is the vice president of global marketing for biologics at Bayer CropScience and came to them when Bayer CropScience acquired AgraQuest in 2012. He was senior vice president of global marketing and responsible for the company’s marketing activities.

“Ashish brings his invaluable extensive experience in biological pest and pathogen control, globally one of the fastest growing agricultural sectors," BVT Chief Executive Officer Michael Collinson said. "We look forward to his insights in bringing BVT and its products to market expeditiously and building a strong distribution channel under his guidance.”

BVT also announced that at the closing of the second tranche of its non-brokered private placement for aggregate with $1.07 million in gross proceeds and issued 185,180 common shares at a price of $0.27 per share. The net proceeds of the gross proceeds will be used at BVT’s new state of the art manufacturing plant in Ontario, Canada. It will also go toward EPA approvals, international patent registration of the BVT system and for general working capital purposes.

The securities issued under the second tranche were under a four-month hold, expiring on March 6, 2015; applicable restrictions may also apply under applicable securities laws outside Canada.
