The
U.S. Grains Council
(USGC’s)
recently promoted
Haksoo Kim to director in Korea and promoted Ryan LeGrand to assistant director in Mexico.
These changes will help USGC’s global staff with added grain trade expertise that will benefit farmers and agribusinesses.
“Both Korea and Mexico are top markets for U.S. feed grains and are Council priorities,” USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight said.“Our programs in both of these places have evolved into a complex mixture of technical, trade and policy activities. To have such expertise on hand in these competitive markets with evolving priorities will help the Council fine-tune its customer servicing in new and innovative ways.”
Kim has been promoted from assistant director in Korea, a position he has held since this past July. His main duties in his new role will be to work on the market demand for U.S. coarse grains and co-products in Korea.
LeGrand will work with the Mexico office director to develop corn, barley and sorghum crop programs. He last worked with USGC as the manager of international operations for distiller’s dried grains with soluble from 2005 to 2006.
