Syngenta makes Ag Connections a wholly owned subsidiary

After a 14-year relationship, Syngenta is making Ag Connections a wholly owned subsidiary to accelerate growth of digital solutions and enhance whole-farm management.

“The past 14 years speak for themselves in terms of the level of commitment both Syngenta and Ag Connections have to meeting growers’ needs and providing them with tools for success,” Dan Burdett, head of customer marketing at Syngenta, said. “We have a 96 percent grower retention rate with AgriEdge Excelsior. Now, we are in an even better position to strengthen our digital agriculture offerings and serve more growers’ needs in an increasingly complex and competitive area of agriculture.”

The primary role of Ag Connections is to provide farm management software solutions. The company has been extensively working on Syngenta’s AgriEdge Excelsior program to provide products, services, risk management and technology needed by growers to have a successful farm business. This acquisition will allow the companies to make faster decisions and have better access to resources to meet the needs of their customers.

“Ag Connections has built its reputation around protecting grower data,” Pete Clark, co-owner and president of Ag Connections, said. “We know Syngenta shares that principle and the policies we follow to be certain growers maintain control of their data. Our priority is to ensure growers have the information they need to make the best decisions possible for their farms.”
