United Suppliers partners with GROW to create Canadian business unit

United Suppliers, Inc., said Friday that the Grow Community of Independent Ag Retails Ltd. (GROW) will become the crop protection and seed business unit of United Suppliers Canada, Inc., effective Sept. 1.

The partnership will create a distribution and service company that independent dealers will have the opportunity to own.

Greg McDonald, who will lead United Suppliers Canada, said United Suppliers has more than 50 years of experience in distribution, financial stability and a successful record.

“GROW, meanwhile, brings engaged owners, an understanding of the Western Canadian agriculture market and an experienced and dedicated operations team," McDonald said. "Both companies share the same purpose, which is to increase our owners' capabilities and competitiveness with a high level of accountability, responsiveness and collaboration."

McDonald will report to United Suppliers CEO Brad Oelmann.

United Suppliers Canada will have two business units - Crop Protection and Seed, based in Saskatoon, and the current Crop Nutrients, based in Regina. The GROW office staff has already joined United Suppliers Canada.
