FarmLink, RDO to offer joint yield benchmark service

FarmLink and RDO Equipment Co. announced Friday they will partner to offer a joint yield benchmarking service using both companies' specialty products.

The 2014 TrueHarvest benchmark released this year by FarmLink indicated there was a $1.7 billion in revenue improvements available to farmers across several states, including half of the states where RDO operates.

"Through our longstanding relationship with RDO Equipment Co., we share a strong commitment to improving the overall profitability of farm operations," Jeff Dema, president of grower services for FarmLink, said. "With access to actionable data, farmers can see how to treat fields differently and then more easily take advantage of precision technology. We are excited to expand our partnership to offer TrueHarvest benchmarking to RDO Equipment Co. customers and help pinpoint opportunities for yield improvements on every acre."

With the data available through FarmLink's benchmarking service, growers and RDO product specialists can fine tune their equipment needs to address areas of yield improvement. With this agreement, farmers using RDO equipment will have access the service.

"TrueHarvest by FarmLink offers independent, objective and actionable data that allows our product specialists, in partnership with farmers, to measure their land's performance and make decisions for the next growing season," RDO Vice President of Agriculture Sales Mark Kreps said. "We look forward to utilizing this new tool with our farmers."
