Syngenta's top wheat seed associates honored at regional meetings

Syngenta said Thursday it recently recognized its associates who produced top-quality, certified wheat seed for sale.

Top-performing AgriPro wheat seed associates were honored at regional Syngenta Cereals Kickoff meetings, where they also received training and education.

Syngenta’s Plains Region Key Account Manager Greg McCormack said the training provides updates for the upcoming year. "Through continuing education, our associates can offer the best local recommendations and service to help wheat growers achieve maximum yield and profit potential,” McCormack said.

Syngenta associates provide professional seedsmanship and expertise in wheat management. At the regional meetings, the company previewed new winter wheat varieties that will be released for fall planting in 2015 and 2016. Each year, associates produce the varieties and market them to growers the following year as certified seed. The associates help growers select seed varieties best suited for their specific farming operations, pest profiles, soil types and management practices.

Syngenta also updated and reviewed the performance of current crop protection products so the associates can help their customers implement an integrated management plan and grow wheat more profitably.
